Remix Pt. 2

Regardless whether you are the one mishearing lyrics (& in turn, mis-singing), or the one calling out your friend, mom, co-worker… – It’s hilarious.

I stumbled across this funny lady’s blog below (Make sure you check out the original “Song Remix” linked in there also!)

While reading, I couldn’t help but be brought back to a time (circa 2001) when one of my best friend thought when Usher swooned ‘You Got It Bad’ that he was singing, “Flowers, Cotton Candy” rather than, “Flowers, Cards & Candy”. Funny, yes…but not as funny as when she misheard Lonestar’s ‘Amazed’ lyric, “I’m so in love with you, it just keeps getting better” as “I’m so in love with you, your chest keeps getting bigger”. (Sidenote: We discovered this by her exclaiming, “I can’t believe my mom doesn’t turn the radio station when this song is on; She usually doesn’t like songs like this.” – Which is hilarity all in itself if you ask me.)

The same evening that I have all these funny memories floating around my head, I turn on Jimmy Fallon & much to my pleasant surprise his #HashTag bit – is none other than……………..#MisheardLyrics!

Happy Friday!

Socks Are For Your Feet, Silly

So until I just learned that the name of the imagine dragons song is “radioactive” i thought they were saying “ready to rock you”

Linda is always good for a solid song remix.

  1. I always enjoy the topic of misheard lyrics. For the longest time, I always thought “Blinded by the Light” said “wrapped up like a douche,” instead of “revved up like a deuce.” I just could never understand why anyone would sing about a douche! Great post! 🙂

    1. Hahahaha, Initially – I thought you meant that you misheard THE lyric, “Blinded by the light” as “revved up like a douche”….and I was going to question it – caaaause, that doesn’t even sound remotely similar. So funny. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
