Monday – I’m Sorry For What I Said

Dear Monday,

I take back what I said before…I don’t hate you. I do still dislike you – but, I am happy to report that you made some progress today.

For starters, my car did that – it started. Beautiful.

I was then graced with the sounds of Shaggy bright & early; I sincerely hope that the song, Angel brings other people as much guilty pleasure as it does me.

What girl isn’t all melty after this, Monday..I mean, you have to agree.

Girl, you’re my angel, you’re my darling angel (So Sweet.)
Closer than my peeps you are to me, baby  (I love it when my husband calls his friends his peeps.)
Shorty, you’re my angel, you’re my darling angel (I don’t really care to be called Shorty, personally…)
Girl, you’re my friend when I’m in need, lady  (Seriously, What girl can resist?)

After that…I got to hear Florida Georgia Line & Luke Bryan’s song…I can’t remember what it’s call – and as (dare I say it…) douche-baggy**  I find all three of those men, they SCREAM summertime.

SO, Monday…Thank you for being tolerable so far. The day is still  young…but I have high hopes for our relationship going forward.

Love,

Jen

**I gain some dumb pleasure from noticing that spell check allows Douche-Baggy, as long at it’s hyphenated.

Happy Monday, Folks.

  1. I’m glad to hear this Monday treated you better than the last! Oh Shaggy! For some reason, before I got to the part where you mentioned his song “Angel,” the song that was playing in my head was “Who Let the Dogs Out.” After googling, I now realize he, in fact, did not sing that song! I don’t know if it was because his name is Shaggy (sounds like a dog’s name) or if it’s because the songs were released around the same time…but it just happened!
    Catch ya later, shortay! 😛

    1. HAHA!! Reggae all sounds the same…except for Bob Marley – obviously in a class of his own. Who cares if it’s Shaggy or the Baha Men? I’d still consider myself correct if I were you. 🙂 But hey…you’re my peep – so maybe I’m just trying to make you feel better – who knows.
      Happy Tuesday!

      1. Ah, your secret is safe with me! This reminds me of those videos that Jimmy Kimmel does where he has parents tell their children that they ate all of their candy. In case you haven’t seen any of those, here’s a link! 😀

      2. Glad you enjoyed them! Yes, I see funny clips from him, Conan, and the like, and I always vow to watch more. The truth is, I’m too lame to stay up late and watch them!
